Job Summary:
A Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for monitoring, automating, and improving the reliability, performance, and availability of TechOps supply chain application at American Airlines.
We are seeking a highly skilled SRE with a strong background in Database Design, Azure DevOps, SRE, GITHUB, and Infra CI/CD Pipelines. With 10-14 years of experience, the ideal candidate will lead our efforts in managing geospatial data and infrastructure, ensuring high-quality and efficient project delivery.
Experience: 10-14 years
- Proven experience in Database Design, Azure DevOps, SRE, GITHUB, and Infra CI/CD Pipelines is mandatory.
- Experience with Azure cloud
- Experience with APM tools Dynatrace SaaS, Mezmo (LogDNA) and Azure native tools
- Experience building automation scripts for CI/CD pipelines - Experience with Github enterprise, Git Actions Added advantage: Worked as SRE similar to an environment such as Azure cloud, Angular
Required Skills:

Hands on experience as SRE

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design and maintenance of geospatial databases to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Implement and manage Azure DevOps practices for geospatial project lifecycle, enhancing collaboration and efficiency.
- Utilize GITHUB for version control and collaboration across geospatial development projects.
- Design and implement Infra CI/CD pipelines for automated geospatial software deployment and infrastructure management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate geospatial solutions into broader organizational projects.
- Conduct regular system audits to identify and address potential issues before they impact project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and security policies throughout the geospatial project lifecycle.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and growth.
- Work on tasks such as preventing incidents with setting up alerts for symptoms
- Coordinating with multiple teams such as azure cloud platform, enterprise monitoring tools, enterprise DevOps and IT security teams.
- Building effective monitoring systems with proactive and reactive alerts.
- Build system health dashboards
- Build end user monitoring dashboards
- Work with Delivery teams to provide insights into monitoring data
- Manage deployments and incidents
- Integrate alerts with notifications engine
