General Summary:

The Web Designer is responsible for designing, enhancing, maintaining, and assisting with the development and delivery of online content and other proprietary web applications. This role works in partnership cross-functionally to design web pages that meet specifications and established design standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• • Provides support to the Marketing team, with a high attention to detail
  • Researches, analyzes, and documents findings
  • May coach and review the work of other team members
  • Designs, builds, and/or maintains websites using authoring or scripting languages, content creation tools, management tools, and digital media
  • Writes, designs, and/or edits web page content
  • Identifies problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback, and corrects problems or refers problems to the appropriate team
  • Evaluates code to ensure validity, proper structure, compliance with industry standards, and compatibility with browers, devices, or operating systems
  • Maintains understanding of current web technologies and programming practices through continuing education, reading or participation in professional conferences, workshops, or groups

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities Required:

• Advanced knowledge of applicable work area.
• Ability to manage projects and processes independently with limited supervision
• Ability to situationally adapt and understand new technology/processes as per business requirement
• Ability to work on multiple projects and/or priorities simultaneously
• Strong knowledge of network design and implementation
• Knowledge of MySQL, OOP, SOAP/RESTful API's, GIT, and/or cURL

Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent business experience
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Experience using a mixture of PHP/HTML templates and designs
• Experience with PHP5.
• Preferred: Experience using AngularJS, Laravel, and CodeIgniter
• Preferred: Experience using AJAX, CSS3, HTML5, jQuery

Working Conditions:

• Onsite/Hybrid/Remote depending on location
• 0-10% travel may be required
• May require occasional work outside of normal business hours (go-lives, deployments, etc.)
