Job Description
Videographer Ayers is looking for a passionate, organized, and talented self-starter to develop and create short and long-form video content for the website, social media, and internal use. The perfect candidate is a storyteller who can create a narrative and manage a project from storyboarding to final delivery. You will have the support of a marketing team and the freedom to put your own spin on our content. This is a hybrid role, qualified applicants will be able to report on site in Lansing, MI regularly.
Duties/Responsibilities: - Plan, film, and edit video content for various projects, ensuring high-quality and engaging final products.
- Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to develop video concepts and storyboards for long-form video, TikTok, Reels, and animation.
- Conduct on-site and in-studio video shoots, ensuring optimal image and sound quality.
- Assist in creating and managing video production schedules.
- Work within project budgets and timelines to meet deadlines.
- Organize and manage all video/media assets (completed projects, sound, and video libraries, etc.).
- Manage post-production tasks, including video editing, color correction, and sound design.
- Operate and maintain video equipment, including cameras, lighting, and audio recording devices.
- Proactively collaborate with other creative team members to produce top-quality work that inspires, engages, and informs regardless of medium.
- Operate a variety of technical equipment, including cameras, microphones, and lighting gear for both in-studio and on-location shoots.
This position is a hybrid role that involves local travel to film video content at job sites and customer homes. Although the position is hybrid, we require the employee to be onsite 2-3 days a week, or to be flexible as necessary to meet the needs of the position.
Experience: - 3-5 years of experience as a videographer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
- Proficiency in using DSLR and mirrorless cameras, camcorders, and other video equipment.
- Advanced skills in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar.
- A good eye for visual composition and detail with the ability to adapt to different shooting environments.
- Strong knowledge of camera angles, lighting, composition, and visual storytelling.
- Experience in audio recording and post-production techniques.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality.
- A background in film, media, or related fields is preferred.
