Who You Are:

  • Deep Understanding of Online Safety Issues: Extensive knowledge of current and emerging online safety issues, including harassment, fraud, abuse, and content moderation.

  • Experience interfacing with Law Enforcement agencies
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate risks, analyze patterns, and develop effective safety protocols.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly articulate policies, procedures, and incidents to stakeholders, including non-technical audiences.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Proven ability to lead and manage a team, including setting goals, providing feedback, and developing team members.
  • Crisis Management: Experience in handling high-pressure situations and crisis management, including responding to and mitigating the impact of security incidents and user safety threats.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with the latest tools and technologies for monitoring and ensuring user safety, such as content moderation systems, machine learning, and AI-driven safety solutions.

What You Will Do:

  • Policy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive trust and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines to protect users and maintain platform integrity.
  • Incident Response: Lead the response to safety and security incidents, including investigations, user support, and communication with relevant authorities if needed.
  • User Education: Create and manage user education initiatives to promote safe behavior on the platform and raise awareness about trust and safety issues.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including legal, product, engineering, and customer support, to ensure trust and safety considerations are integrated into all aspects of the platform.
  • Monitoring and Enforcement: Oversee the monitoring of user activity and content to detect and address violations of trust and safety policies promptly and effectively.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics to identify trends, assess risks, and measure the effectiveness of trust and safety initiatives.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on trust and safety metrics, incidents, and compliance to keep executive leadership informed and drive continuous improvement.

What We Are Looking for:

We are seeking a Trust and Safety Lead who embodies high ethical standards and maintains the trust and confidence of our users. The ideal candidate will have the empathy to understand and address user concerns, particularly those affected by safety incidents. A proactive and forward-thinking mindset is essential to identify potential risks and implement preventative measures. We value adaptability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment, responding to evolving challenges and priorities with agility.
