Montage Marketing is looking for two seasoned Tour Managers to join our growing team. Qualified candidates will have the skills, experience, and attention to detail needed to contribute to and support a nationwide tour focused on health advocacy for underrepresented populations in biomedical research.  

These are full-time, exempt positions working a nationwide tour from August – November 2024 with possible renewal of 2025 tour route starting Spring of 2025. Placement for these positions will be with one of our already in progress tours travelling the Eastern, Central, or Western regions. Regional assignment and team structure subject to change throughout the course of the tour based on client and agency needs.

We are actively recruiting candidates residing in one of the following states: Arizona, DC, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, West Virginia, or Virginia.  

Anticipated annual salary for each role is $80,000 - $85,000 + benefits. Annual salary is prorated based on the length of the contracted tour. Government standard per diem rate for meals and lodging available during travel.

About the Role  

The Tour Manager will be responsible for the successful management and execution of events, providing top-tier attendee experiences and successfully completing all administrative tasks in association with managing the tour. The ideal candidate for this role is someone with experience in community, health, and diversity or health-related clients. The Tour Manager supports the management of staff and ensures events meet or exceed key performance indicators as set by the client.

Requirements  

  • A minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of experiential marketing program activation. 
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required. 
  • Experience with multi-month national tours, six (6) months or longer. 
  • Experience driving tour vehicles and managing compliant DOT records. 
  • Experience driving company and client vehicles larger than 22 ft. 
  • A minimum of 3 years of driving experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more. 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities  

  • Knowledge and expertise in implementing mobile vehicle marketing programs. 
  • Experience with health, multicultural, education, and/or community projects. 
  • Aptitude to effectively problem solve, develop creative solutions, and work under pressure. 
  • Keen attention to detail and driven attitude. 
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours including weekends/holidays. 
  • Collaborative attitude and willingness to assist as needed. 
  • Comfortable working in non-traditional and diverse settings. 
  • Excellent communications skills, ability to communicate orally and in writing with ease with various audiences and stakeholders. 
  • Proficiency in maintaining and utilizing management-related documents and systems, including, but not limited to, event recaps, incident reports, personnel reports, expense submission platforms. 
  • Experience traveling for assigned project, driving and riding in a vehicle with other tour personnel. 
  • Strategic thinking and judgment to make decisions. 
  • Passion for engagement, event marketing, and diversity. 
  • Excellent organizational and communications skills with the ability to multi-task 
  • Proven ability to identify strategic opportunities through creative thinking and innovative solutions. 
  • Focus on results, quality, and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable cross-training to support other tour teams as needed. 

Responsibilities

Resource Management  

  • Staff management. 
  • Assist with asset management and set-up/tear-down of footprint. 
  • Drive company-owned vehicle and follow DOT log compliance and company policy. 
  • Inventory management of program assets. 
  • Ensure proper storage, maintenance, and transport of experience assets. 

Event Execution  

  • Review event briefs prior to event. 
  • Complete weekly site checks and submit site check form.
  • Serve as the main point of contact, face of the brand. 
  • Manage the event execution and the attendee experience. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve event execution. 
  • Meet and/or exceed key performance indicators. 
  • Coordinate travel logistics with co-tour team and project team. 
  • Coordinate onsite logistics, troubleshoot with host venue/event, vendor partners, and co-tour managers, and make appropriate adjustments as needed to execute activations. 
  • Communicate complex program messaging to specific targeted populations. 
  • Build relationships on behalf of client and agency with partners, vendors, and key stakeholders.
  • Support in-market media and event partner opportunities. 
  • Serve as onsite point of contact for examiners and fulfill any issues with examiner workspace or equipment necessary to complete the work. 
  • Work with examiners on flow and order of participants waiting for exam. 

Tracking and Reporting  

  • Monitor, track, and drive ROI for the program. 
  • Track key performance metrics and insights, and complete event reports. 
  • Capture images and video content for social platforms. 
  • Track expense and submit expense reports per company guidelines. 
  • Craft and submit incident, vehicle inspection or special event related reports as needed. 
  • Track and confirm inventory and other tour shipments. 

Project Management Support  

  • Participate in program trainings. 
  • Communicate, report, and collaborate with Field Manager. 
  • Participate in project meeting with the project management team.
