The Position:
At GameChanger, our Trust & Safety team is dedicated to pioneering solutions that ensure a secure and trustworthy platform for our users. Our mission is to give parents and coaches the confidence that GC is the right platform for their team by implementing clear policies, building the right features, and fostering a culture of accountability and transparency across GameChanger.
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer who is passionate about building tools and systems that safeguard user data and enhance our trustworthiness. In this role, you will lead initiatives to develop and optimize critical tools and systems for the Trust & Safety team. Your expertise in both frontend and backend development will drive innovations that address complex security challenges and reinforce user confidence in our platform. You will report to the Trust & Safety Engineering Manager.

What You’ll Do:
Be a founding member of our Trust & Safety Team.
Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced tools and systems for user safety and data protection.
Architect and implement scalable and secure solutions for both frontend and backend components.
Collaborate with other engineering leaders, product managers, and security experts to define and prioritize security and trust-related features.
Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
Conduct security audits and assessments, implementing best practices and emerging technologies to address potential vulnerabilities.
Drive initiatives to continuously improve our internal tools and processes, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and reliability.
Engineer robust software solutions with a strong emphasis on high-quality development standards, ensuring reliability, and maintainability.
What You’ll Bring:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in full-stack development, with deep expertise in React and NodeJS technologies.
Extensive experience with security practices, compliance requirements, and data protection frameworks.
Proven ability to lead projects and mentor teams, with strong leadership and communication skills.
Experience with large-scale systems and high-security environments.
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.

The target salary range for this position is between $160,000 and $200,000. This is part of a total compensation package that includes incentive, equity, and benefits for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by several factors including experience, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We constantly review all teammate pay to ensure a great compensation package that is fair and equal across the board.
