Here is what we're looking for:

We are seeking an experienced Cat Sitter and Dog Walker to aid our summer vacationing clients. Each trip duration may vary from 3 to 10 days. The duties for Cat Sitting usually involve a single visit every day between 7:30 am and 10:00 am, from Monday to Friday, which also include rotational weekends. Occasionally, an extra visit may be required in the afternoon, between 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm. Dog Walking, on the other hand, is usually on weekdays between 10:30 am to 1:30 pm, but not as frequently.

The candidate should:

• Reside in the Cave Creek & Carefree or Far North Scottsdale service region
• Own a dependable vehicle and hold a valid driver's license
• Display an equal love for cats and dogs, although we are predominantly a cat-focused company (90% cats and 10% dogs)
• Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, honesty, responsibility, reliability, and a strong passion for animals
• Be capable of working independently with high levels of energy.

The perfect applicant should be available for:

• Morning shifts: 7:30 am to 10:00 am
• Afternoon shifts: 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm
• Occasional weekend availability
• Responsible for visiting pets once or twice per day
• Guarantee the safety and well-being of the pets in the client's residence during each visit.

As a pet care provider, your duties will entail:

• Offering daily exercise to clients' pets, either indoors or outdoors, or providing enrichment and individual attention to pets inside their homes
• Checking and replenishing fresh food and water, and adhering to the clients' precise guidelines on daily feedings and treats
• Cleaning up after dogs on walks or tidying up toys and cleaning any messes in the client's home, and tending to the litter box
• Maintaining exceptional communication with pet parents each day and remaining attentive to any perceived medical requirements during your visit or walk

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following qualifications:

• Previous experience working with animals, beyond just caring for your own pets
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Clean driving record and able to pass a background check
• Possess a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
• Own a smartphone with GPS, texting, and data capabilities
• Must carry individual Pet Sitting insurance
• Reside within the Cave Creek & Carefree service area
• Must be available during the specified times in the job description
• Physical ability to handle animals of all sizes and walk, bend, push, pull, or lift up to 25 pounds
• Display compassion, patience, reliability, and exceptional communication skills
• Willing to be flexible, take last-minute requests, and have excellent availability, with a can-do attitude being paramount

The Good Stuff:

Each visit has a set duration and compensation rate, starting at $17 per visit, with longer visits receiving higher compensation. Most visits are typically between 30 to 60 minutes long. Upon completion of successful probationary period, Cat Sitters and Dog Walkers will receive a further increase in their compensation rate. Pet Sitter's receive 100% of tips.

Legal Stuff:

Kindly take note that this opportunity provides additional income, and you will not be considered an employee, nor will you receive employee benefits. We cannot assure a consistent income, and it should not be considered as your primary source of income. Nonetheless, as an independent contractor, you can benefit from a flexible schedule, an enjoyable and fulfilling workplace, and the full amount of tips you receive, in addition to holiday pay. You will be regarded as a 1099 contractor, and you will receive a 1099 form at year-end for tax purposes. It is also essential to have the capacity to receive direct deposits through Zelle.
