SmartLight Analytics was formed by a group of industry insiders who wanted to make a meaningful impact on the rising cost of healthcare. With this end in mind, SmartLight combats fraud, waste, and abuse in healthcare through our proprietary data analysis. Requiring the bare minimum in employer involvement, our process works behind the scenes to save money without interrupting employee benefits or requiring employee behavior changes.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and critical-thinking Scrum Master who also has some Product Owner responsibilities to join our dynamic team. This dual-role position will be pivotal in ensuring our development processes are efficient and aligned with our product vision.
The ideal candidate will serve as a liaison between stakeholders and the development team, continuously improving team processes and workflows. They will provide feedback and suggest enhancements to both the product and development process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software that meets customer needs.
As part of this role, one will build relationships with other IT professionals, such as developers, data scientists, and business analysts. Collaborate with these professionals to acquire a deep understanding of source systems, able to make decisions quickly, and identify solutions that meet the critical nature of the business.
This role is contract-to-hire. After a successful 3-month contract, you will be eligible for benefits and will transition to full-time employment.

Scrum Master Responsibilities
Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Coach the development team in Agile practices and principles.
Remove impediments and blockers to ensure smooth progress.
Foster a collaborative and communicative team environment.
Monitor and track team performance and agile metrics.
Product Owner Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize the product backlog.
Communicate the product vision and goals to the development team.
Write user stories and acceptance criteria.
Ensure the team understands the product requirements and user needs.
Make decisions on scope and timelines to maximize product value.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and/or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).
Proven experience as a Scrum Master and/or Product Owner in a SAAS environment.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and principles.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize effectively.
Expertise in Jira and Confluence for project management and documentation
