Job Overview

We are in search of an  Assistant Store Manager with previous experience, to help in supporting with all operational and customer facing task in store. This person will be responsible for store opening and closing operations, ensuring that all store operations are occurring as expected, and providing a great experience in store. This person needs to have a strong attention to detail and will be an expert in store processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and communicating barriers to the Store Manager. The position reports to & receives functional guidance from the Store Manager.

What You Will Achieve

  • Ensure consistent execution of inventory workflow processes, helping associates with standard operating procedures
  • Act as a floor leader for associate questions and customer escalations
  • Support associate onboarding and provide ongoing process training as needed
  • Work with a manager to maintain the high quality and safety standards of the store
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of store operations by identifying and communicating barriers to success
  • Troubleshoot customer issues, modeling desired behavior for the team and escalating to a manager as needed
  • Receive, stock, and replenish product
  • Use systems to scan, process, and count inventory
  • Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and handle cash
  • Rotate between additional duties as assigned

What You Will Need

  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing environment
  • 1+ year of floor leadership experience
  • Demonstrated positive work attitude Interest in learning new skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to process information and operate store systems accurately
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and be on your feet for a shift, up to 10 hours at a time with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Availability to work when needed, including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age
