Job Description



POSITION SUMMARY:

The Recruiter is responsible for attracting, identifying and hiring qualified candidates based on their expertise, while considering the necessary skills to perform the job. Acting as a talent scout for the business, the Recruiter’s role is to understand the business talent needs and put forth recommendations and strategies to assess both internal and external candidates when positions become available. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify qualified candidates for open positions by reviewing applications/resumes and use independent judgment to determine what candidates should be selected to proceed in the process.
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop specific staffing and recruiting plans in their markets.
  • Partner with Human Resources and temporary staffing agencies to identify staffing needs.
  • Partner with Human Resources and recruiting teams to ensure that they are following company policies and programs during the recruiting process.
  • On own initiative, conduct initial phone interviews for the business and use independent judgment to make recommendations to hiring managers for in-person interviews.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and track in-person interviews, background checks, and reference checks.
  • Open, track, and close positions in the applicant tracking system.
  • Maintain a pool of available candidates to fill positions by conducting outreach through various recruitment methods; this includes web-based tools, community centers, job fairs and collaborations with local resources.
  • Assist applicants with completing the online application process.
  • Conduct new hire orientations as candidates complete the online onboarding process.
  • Be visible in the networking community by attending job fairs, virtual job fairs and representing the Brand to hire the best talent in the industry.
  • Additional duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required
  • 2+ years high volume recruiting experience within a retail organization preferred
  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
