Job Description

We're looking for a skilled and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our growing community solar company. You'll play a key role in ensuring our team is paid accurately and on time, while adhering to all prevailing wage and certified payroll regulations.

What You'll Do:
Be the master of our payroll systems (Paylocity and others), setting up new hires, maintaining employee information, and processing weekly payroll for over 80 employees across multiple companies.
Ensure compliance with complex prevailing wage regulations in the construction industry.
Manage benefits administration, including 401k plans, health insurance, and paid leave.
Generate reports and analyze data to keep us informed and compliant.
Partner with HR and other departments to provide exceptional support.

The Ideal Candidate:
5+ years of payroll experience, with a strong understanding of certified payroll and prevailing wage requirements in construction.
Proven experience with HRIS and payroll systems like Paylocity.
Excellent attention to detail and a passion for accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
A proactive and resourceful approach to work.
Must be able to work in an office setting Monday-Thursday (flexible hours).

Bonus Points:
Experience with Empower (or similar 401k platforms).
Knowledge of employment law regulations.
Payroll and HR certifications.
