Job Description:


As a Medical Assistant / Office Manager at Patriot Medical , you will be a key member of our team, serving as the primary point of contact between our practice, patients, and the facility. You will manage the doctor’s schedule, coordinate patient appointments, check in patients, take vitals, scribe during patient visits, and ensure that all follow-up care is completed. You will also be responsible for essential office management tasks to keep our practice running smoothly.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Coordinate with the Facility: Serve as the liaison between Patriot Medical and the facility, managing scheduling, procedures, and follow-up appointments.
  • Manage Doctor’s Schedule: Oversee and adjust the doctor’s schedule to optimize clinic time, confirming and rescheduling appointments as necessary.
  • Patient Check-In & Vitals: Welcome patients, check them in, and take vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, temperature, weight) in a professional and timely manner.
  • Scribe for the Doctor: Document patient histories, diagnoses, and treatment plans during visits, entering accurate notes into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Follow-Up Care: Ensure that patients receive proper follow-up instructions, including scheduling additional appointments, tests, or referrals.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with patient intake, insurance verification, medical billing, and maintaining accurate and confidential patient records.
  • Patient Communication: Provide outstanding customer service by answering patient calls, emails, and inquiries, ensuring patients are informed and supported throughout their care.



    Qualifications:

    • Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Medical Assistant certification preferred).
    • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a medical office setting, ideally with both clinical and administrative responsibilities.
    • Skills:
      • Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and office management software.
      • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
      • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
      • Knowledge of medical terminology, billing, and insurance processes is a plus.
      • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
