Golf Course Superintendent
Golf Club in Honeoye Falls, New York is looking for a Golf Course Superintendent.
Position Overview:
Responsible for the maintenance of our top-rated private 18-hole golf course and associated property. We have a modern maintenance facility with up-to-date equipment and a computerized irrigation system. The office and employee areas are spacious.
Requirements:
2-year Degree or Certificate in Turf Management (or related field, like agronomy, horticulture, plant science, soil science).
Computer skills required for financial reporting and control of operations.
Valid driver’s license.
Valid New York State Pesticide Application License.
3-5 years’ experience as a Golf Course Superintendent or Assistant.
Knowledge of modern maintenance practices of greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers.
Knowledge of use and operating standards of equipment and tools used in golf course construction and maintenance work.
Skilled in recruiting, hiring, supervising, training, monitoring, evaluating and motivating personnel.
Interpersonal skill to resolve challenges with employees and members.
Knowledge of the game of golf, golf rules and methods of play.
Ability to anticipate issues with labor, equipment, and material requirements related to golf course maintenance and repair assignments.
Ability and knowledge to lay out irrigation patterns, drainage patterns, construct tees and/or greens.
Compensation:
$100,000 – $115,000 per year.
