Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and providing insightful financial analysis to support business decisions. this role will be responsible for supporting accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), and performing month-end closing procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management, cost accounting and managing multiple sets of books.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and cross-entity transactions.
Reconcile multiple sets of books (8 entities) and ensure accurate reporting across all entities.
Support the Management in preparing financial reports and analyses as needed.
Help ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Monitor and track inventory, working closely with the operations team to maintain accurate records.
Manage and project cash flow, ensuring effective financial planning and forecasting.
Assist in process improvement initiatives for the finance department.
Maintain a strong internal control environment.
Stay updated on financial regulations and best practices to ensure adherence to GAAP.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably within the or wine/beverage industry.
Strong understanding of AR, AP, and general ledger accounting.
Experience with inventory management and cost accounting.
Proven ability to reconcile multiple books and handle cross-entity journal entries.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
