Job Description

Valeo is actively seeking a Business Systems Integrator. Reporting to the Director of Technology, the Business Systems Integrator will play a vital role in ensuring seamless integration between the firm’s proprietary tools and third-party platforms. They will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including advisors and various operations teams, to design and implement solutions that improve data flow, operational efficiency and client service. The successful candidate will understand the unique technological needs of a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firm and drive integration initiatives that align with business goals and compliance requirements.

This position will be based in our Carmel, IN headquarters and will require consistent in-person attendance. This role will start in January of 2025.

Duties and Responsibilities:

System Integration:

  • Develop and implement strategies to integrate the firm’s proprietary tools and third-party platforms, ensuring a seamless flow of data across all systems.
  • Collaborate with key business units and senior management to define integration priorities that align with the firm’s strategic goals.

Process Optimization:

  • Design and implement automated workflows to streamline business processes, reducing manual efforts and improving overall efficiency.
  • Analyze current systems and business processes, identifying areas for improvement and recommending optimized solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending innovative solutions to enhance system integration and business performance.

Data Integrity and Management:

  • Ensure the accuracy, security, and consistency of data across all integrated systems, implementing solutions that maintain data integrity.
  • Monitor data flow between systems and troubleshoot any discrepancies, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with compliance and operations teams to ensure that all data management processes meet regulatory and industry standards

Solution Development and Customization:

  • Design and configure custom integration solutions that address the unique needs of the firm’s systems.
  • Create technical blueprints and roadmaps for integrating new tools and enhancing existing system functionalities.
  • Ensure that all system configurations support scalability, performance, and security needs across the organization.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in systems integration, ideally within the financial services industry.
  • Experience with portfolio management platforms, CRMs, document management systems, and cloud storage tools.
  • Proficiency with API integrations, scripting, and workflow automation tools.
  • Understanding of data management best practices, particularly with client data.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
