Position Overview:
We are looking for a passionate Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering speech-language therapy services to bilingual students with communication challenges, helping them thrive in their school environments.
Position Details:
Start: ASAP for the 2024-2025 school year
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours/week
Language Requirement: Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Work Mode: Remote
Caseload: K-12 students
Compensation: $50-$56 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication skills in both English and their primary language (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin).
Create and implement individualized therapy plans to meet each student's unique communication goals in both their primary language and English.
Provide therapy to students individually or in small groups, targeting areas such as articulation, language comprehension, vocabulary, and social communication.
Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and school staff to ensure therapy goals are integrated into students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and classroom activities.
Maintain open communication with parents, caregivers, and the educational team to provide updates on progress and recommendations for continued practice at home.
Utilize evidence-based therapy techniques, materials, and technology to enhance students' communication skills and support their growth across different settings.
Keep accurate, confidential records of therapy sessions, assessments, progress reports, and other essential documentation.
What We're Looking For:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Current state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Proficiency in the target language (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin).
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is a plus.
Previous experience as a bilingual speech-language pathologist, particularly in an educational setting.
Strong understanding of speech and language development and disorders in both English and the target language.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with students, families, and school staff.
Experience with teletherapy or online therapy services is preferred, but not required.
