For each photographer, whatever the purpose or subject of the image, how to take photos, they have the same requirement that is to produce the best quality image. However, sometimes during shooting, the result will not work as expected. Photos may be blurred, shaky or unclear. So, what is the cause of Blurry photos and corrective measures for this situation like?

1. Incorrect autofocus:

The camera will handle everything when we choose auto focus and in some cases focus again on the spot we don’t want. When there is a “tit” sound or the focus point turns red in AF, it is okay. But in some cases you have to focus yourself. You need to move the AF point on the camera exactly where the subject is, for example, focus on someone’s eyes.

Switching to autofocus at 1 point (AF area mode) is probably the best, or please remove AF and then switch to MF.

2. Improper use of AF:

For moving subjects, such as the pedestrians we switch to AF and continuous shooting, on Canon there will be a system called AI Servo. It is better to use AF with focus mode at 1 point and select the autofocus point exactly where we want.

Do not use continuous AF when shooting still objects. We can choose the angle, focus point and wait for the actions of the subject to be most natural, use AF but don’t overdo it, the sharpness of the image may be affected.

3. Do not use MF mode:

Sometimes AF is unable to focus on the subject, possibly due to insufficient contrast or other causes. If so, switch to MF, this will help us focus more easily without moving.

4. Do not check MF before shooting:

MF is quite handy, but you need a period of practice to master it. To increase your capabilities, use the camera’s Live View mode, or turn on Focus Peaking if available on our camera. Trying to practice to master MF skills. You will need to check the viewfinder before shooting in MF mode to make sure the viewfinder is still open.

5. To slow shutter speed:

For DSLRs with high-resolution LCD screens, such as Nikon D810 or Canon 5DS, for example, the bad or beautiful photos we can not identify immediately, because browsing images via LCD, but the LCD screen has a high High resolution, our viewing angle with the photos will be the same.

Therefore, using Tripod, it will help photos taken at a slow shutter speed will not be blurred and clearer. It also depends on many conditions and topics, but keep the speed to as low as 1 / 125s, use MF or higher ISO to make the photo bright enough

Regardless of what type of camera you are using, try to keep the shutter speed higher than the focal length of the lens. For example, a speed specification of 1/250 will be for users of 200m lenses.

6. The aperture is too large or too small:

To take a picture of the scene, use f / 2.8 or higher. This also limits the depth of field, so we should be careful when focusing.

If shooting portrait, set AF. For example, we focus on the subject, making the background appear blurred. If you use an extremely small aperture (f / 20) we will have more depth of field, but a slow shutter speed will limit the light from entering the sensor. Not suitable for shooting a moving subject.

7. No control of noise (noise):

When higher ISO is also the time we choose the higher shutter speed, you can limit the image noise. Too much noise in a photo will make it look ugly, viewers will lose interest as soon as they look at the picture.

So, don’t push the ISO too high, we have to adjust the parameters depending on our camera, contact the camera as much as possible to understand how your tool should calibrate. In low light, you can switch to a more stable lens with a larger aperture, or even use a flash.

8. Unknown lens adjustment:

Many people think about how to make photos look clearer, but they have overlooked the fact that they are using a lens that does not really suit their needs. The ability of each lens is different, optical performance is why there are so many types of lenses that are several dozen or even a hundred times more expensive than other lenses.

9. No further preparation of other photographic equipment:

It is important in photography to use a Tripod (for exposure photography). If you can afford it, buy an extra set of Joby Gorillapod spare tripod and keep it in your pocket, maybe in some cases it will be very useful. It may not be possible to replace if the tripod is broken, but it is still better than nothing to use
